Disastrous refereeing marred the game throughout, giving Taraji an early lead thanks to a clear handball. Ahly went down one man after the goal when Barakat was harshly red carded for an acting job perfomed by a Tunisian player. Still, 10-man Ahly was more in control in the second half while Taraji defended their lead. Taraji goes through to the African final.
